Applications for the 2025-2026 board year are now being accepted
Qualifications to be on the board per the FLMSF By-Laws:
1) Any spouse of an active duty service member stationed within 50 miles of JBLM.
2) Any retired government employee, surviving spouse or family member, or spouse of a retired service member residing within 50 miles of JBLM.
3) Any service member stationed within 50 miles of JBLM.
The 2026-2027 board year will begin on August 1st 2026.
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Vice Chair
Supports the Chair while managing volunteer programs, coordinating judges and scholarship events, and ensuring continuity of leadership when the Chair is unavailable.
Treasurer
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Secretary
Maintains official records, meeting minutes, correspondence, and organizational documentation to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
Marketing Coordinator
Create and distribute promotional materials, manage public communications, and update the website with timely scholarship information. Coordinate outreach to schools, media, and the community.
Donor Coordinator
Prepare and send donation request letters, track responses, and complete grant applications. Send thank-you letters and maintain positive donor relationships.
Scholarship Coordinator
Manages the scholarship application and selection process from application review through judge coordination, award determination, applicant notification, and recipient recognition.
Events Coordinator
Plans and executes the scholarship fund’s events, including judging activities and the annual awards ceremony, while coordinating judges, recognitions, and event logistics.
